Two Londonderry after-school sites are bringing STEM programs to the Schools Out Programming! Volunteers are needed to support staff in overseeing 40-50 kids as they do STEM activities. To support our members' needs, a food pantry has been created and will be open every Thursday afternoon. As a Food Pantry volunteer, you will: ✅ Create a welcoming and safe space for the community ✅ Organize donated goods, ensuring they are within date and safe to distribute ✅ Make an immediate impact! 📆 SHIFT SCHEDULE 🕜 3:00PM - 4:00PM: Prepare the pantry studio space - organizing food and personal hygiene items, assist with inventory 4:00PM - 6:00PM: Open Food Pantry hours - assist community members with selecting items 6:00PM - 7:00PM: Close the pantry studio space - organize the items that were not selected during pantry open hours To see available dates and times, please see the calendar below. 🚨 FIRST TIME VOLUNTEERS: Please complete a "First Time Volunteer" application linked at the bottom of this page. YMCA of Downtown Manchester is hosting a Friendsgiving meal for the Y community. This event is a massive undertaking - setting up tables and chairs, serving food, bussing tables, cleaning up following the event, and ensuring a welcoming environment.

We are excited to gather volunteers in to support wrapping and distributing gifts collected through the Giving Tree Project. Many shifts are available December 9th - December 19th! Whether you can give an hour or more, your help will make a big difference in bringing smiles to families this holiday season. Tasks include: organizing the gifts received, wrapping presents, helping distribute to families at scheduled pick-up times, create a warm and welcoming environment. Have a group? Coaches will provide inspiration and guidance to students as they venture into this new lego league initiative. Sharing knowledge, supporting the team members as they learn and grow, and serving as a positive role model are all components of coaching in this endeavor. Additionally, fostering Gracious Professionalism and FIRST core values in the students is an expectation of all coaches.

Volunteers serve as role models while fostering a love for reading. This initiative not only supports academic development, but also helps the children build confidence. The Downtown Manchester YMCA is looking for volunteers to help with the Leaders Club programs we facilitate. YMCA Leaders Clubs are nationally and regionally recognized throughout the YMCA family. The clubs focus on developing the spirit, mind, and body of the participants. Junior Leaders are 6th-8th graders; Senior Leaders are 9th-12th graders. Volunteers will assist in implementing projects, programs, and discussions planned by the club advisors. Help is needed from 5:45-7:30 on Wednesdays each week during the school year.
