*NOW SCHEDULING FOR 2026-2027 Academic Year* Reading Buddies at YMCA of Downtown Manchester is a youth literacy support program designed to help children strengthen their reading skills through positive, one-on-one interactions with caring volunteers. Volunteers serve as role models while fostering a love for reading. This initiative not only supports academic development, but also helps the children build confidence. Join us in making a lasting impact - one book at a time! 📖 Fall Session: Wednesday, September 30 - November 4 📖 Spring Session: Wednesday, March 17 - April 21 📆 SHIFT SCHEDULE 🕜 3:30PM - 3:45PM: Volunteers arrive and prepare the room with tables, chairs, and books 3:45PM - 4:15PM: Kids arrive, choose books, READ! 4:15PM - 4:30PM: Volunteers reorganize the space

PARKING: 1. There are multiple areas available around YMCA of Downtown Manchester for street parking, to be paid at the meter. 2. Parking is also available in the Brady Sullivan Parking Garage on Plaza Dr, parking passes can be validated by Welcome Center staff for up to 2 hours of parking.
