Y's Seacoast Branch: KidZone Helper

YMCA of the Seacoast

KidZone offers a place for parents to drop off a child while attending an on-site class or workout and know that their child is safe. Volunteers will work alongside of YMCA staff in providing games, stories, and arts and crafts to engage the children in a safe and caring environment with parents nearby.

550 Peverly Hill Road Portsmouth, NH 03801 United States

This program is intentionally set up to allow our members to attend a class or enjoy a workout knowing that their child is being well cared for and safe.

We take everyone’s health and safety seriously at the YMCA. At this time, masks will remain optional based on each individual’s personal preference. The Granite YMCA may choose to adjust this mask policy again in the future in response to illness outbreaks and community spread. For the safety of all, volunteers are asked to authorize and/or complete a few important checks and a brief training program prior to starting in your new role with us. Each volunteer is asked to provide three (3) references, authorize a background check (at the Y’s expense) and complete a 20-minute online training class on the importance of child abuse prevention. (Periodically we offer instructor-led child abuse training to supplement the online class.) This onboarding process has been streamlined for your ease. Links to start the credentialing process will be provided when you “click” the VOLUNTEER and LEARN MORE buttons. As soon as this process is complete, we will reach out to welcome you as a Y volunteer and to determine a convenient date for the start of your valued volunteering at the YMCA.

If unable to attend a scheduled shift, please let Paige know in advance.
